AB OHS requires at least 1 person trained in first aid on every shift, including contractors and volunteers.
At 101 First Aid, we specialize in group on-site training and offer special pricing for organizations who book more than two training groups a year. Estimated times do not include breaks. Prices do not include GST.

Part Day Courses (3 hrs) :

Important Notes:

  • "Emergency/Standard" is also known as "Basic/Intermediate"

  • All First Aid courses include CPR/AED Level C

  • All Child Care First Aid courses are Level B

  • All certificates are valid for 3 years

  • Courses require a minimum attendance of 4 participants unless combined with a higher level course

CPR/AED C

Who is this for?

  • Workers who need to update their CPR/AED Level C each year

Part Day Course (5 hrs in class)

  • Ideal for those who want to learn CPR and AED use without the additional skills

Blended (5 hrs in class + 4 hrs online)

  • Online learning time varies by student

  • Blended students must show their completion certificate before the in-class skills training indicating they completed the online modules and review

Recertification (5 hrs in class)

  • It is strongly recommended to read the first aid manual prior to class.

  • Recert students must show their current first aid certificate before class

  • Expired certificates must take the 1 Day or Blended course

Basic First Aid C (aka. Emergency First Aid C)

Who is this for?

  • Entrepreneurs with fewer than 50 workers (including staff, volunteers, and contractors)

1 Day Course (7 hrs in class)

  • Ideal for those taking Basic First Aid for the first time or prefer a slower pace

Blended (5 hrs in class + 4 hrs online)

  • Online learning time varies by student

  • Blended students must show their completion certificate before the in-class skills training indicating they completed the online modules and review

Recertification (5 hrs in class)

  • It is strongly recommended to read the first aid manual prior to class.

  • Recert students must show their current first aid certificate before class

  • Expired certificates must take the 1 Day or Blended course

Intermediate First Aid C (aka. Standard First Aid C)

Who is this for?

  • Workers who don't have first aid certification, or their certification has expired

  • Entrepreneurs with 50 or more workers (including staff, volunteers, and contractors)
    or those who work in a high hazard environment

  • Often required for people who work with children, special needs, or elderly; healthcare professionals; and teaching/coaching positions

  • Strongly recommended for parents and relatives of small children and seniors

2 Day Course (14 hrs in class)

  • Ideal for those taking Intermediate First Aid for the first time or prefer a slower pace

Blended (7.5 hrs in class + 8 hrs online)

  • Online learning time varies by student

  • Blended students must show their completion certificate before the in-class skills training indicating they completed the online modules and review

Recertification (7.5 hrs in class)

  • It is strongly recommended to read the first aid manual prior to class

  • Recert students must show their current first aid certificate before class

  • Expired certificates must take the 2 Day or Blended course

Child Care First Aid B

Who is this for?

  • May be required for childcare providers. Please check with your employer to confirm.

  • Certification is valid for 3 years

  • Intermediate Child Care First Aid (16 hrs), Basic Child Care First Aid (8 hrs)

  • Level B courses cannot be combined with Level C courses.

Recertification

  • It is strongly recommended to read the first manual prior to class

  • Intermediate Child Care First Aid (8 hrs), Basic Child Care First Aid (6 hrs)

  • Recert students must show their current first aid certificate before class. Expired certificates must take the 2 Day or 1 Day course. There is no Blended option.
